The claims made by Pakistan’s Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR)

On Thursday Pakistan Army lost three of its soldiers on the LoC firing by Indian forces, which was vehemently denied by India. India also denied Pakistan Army’s claim about five Indian soldiers getting killed in an exchange of fire on August 15.

The claims made by Pakistan’s Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) were termed as fictitious by an Indian Army officer. The officer, however, acknowledged that there was a ceasefire violation in Nowgam and Krishna Ghati sector, adding that but there were no casualties on the Indian side.

The DG ISPR had tweeted that three Pakistani soldiers were killed in the firing on the LoC by Indian forces while claiming that the Pakistan Army has killed five Indian soldiers in retaliatory fire. The DG ISPR also released photographs of Pakistan Army soldiers who were killed in the firing, identifying them as naik Tanveer, lance naik Taimoor and sepoy Ramzan.
