On his first visit to Pakistan during the new government’s tenure, Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has announced to increase trade volume between the two countries.

Addressing the Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum with Imran Khan in attendance, Erdogan said that they plan to increase the total trade volume by $5 billion in the next 5 years. The target for the first year is set at $1 billion, media reported earlier today.

We will open the door for new businesses. We want to increase the level of Pakistan and Turkey’s business ties to the level of our political relations.

Addressing the business community, PM Khan invited the Turkish business community to invest in Pakistan, highlighting a number of potential avenues such as agriculture, tourism, and mining
