YouTube will introduce a beta version of its short video offering, YouTube Shorts, in the United States in the coming weeks
YouTube Shorts, which is part of the main YouTube app, allows users to create and share 15-second vertical videos. It is the company’s answer to TikTok and Instagram Reels. Last month, CEO Susan Wojcicki said the feature had notched up 3.5 billion daily views since its launch in September 2020.
Apart from this, YouTube will soon start adding video chapters to relevant videos automatically, to enable users to navigate them easily. Currently, creators need to manually include chapters.
